It's Wednesday night and, of course, I was working at the church. As soon as I got there Elaine came into my room and starting talking about how tacky it was to wear a short sleeved shirt over a long sleeved shirt (which I was wearing and happen to think is cute). She continued to stand there for about 30 minutes complaining about the whether, her arthritis, pretty much anything you can think of. She stood there complaining so long I missed my chance to get a Diet Coke and cookie, which is essential for my surviving Wednesday nights. On top of that I hadn't had dinner yet, so I really needed my Wednesday night cookie. (Sorry about my overdramaticness, I still haven't had dinner) I didn't think this night was going to be good at all, but Elaine's son called and she had to leave so I got to work with the 3 year olds! Since, Elaine started working I haven't gotten to see them much because she's a little territorial/ confused. So since it's close to Thanksgiving, we talked about being thankful. We colored turkeys and I wrote things they said they were thankful for on them. They were hilarious! Here are some of the things they were thankful for...
-Froot Loops with less sugar so Mommy lets me eat them more
-Dogs
-Mommies, Daddies, Brothers, Sisters
-Santa Clause and snowmen
-Potty seats (so they don't fall in the toilet)
-Tractors and worms
-Chocolate milk
-Pink nail polish
-Babies
I was leaving church and this little four year old girl ran up to me and gave me a hug. I hugged her back but I kind of squeezed her when I did and she said "Don't squish my heart, Miss Candice. Jesus is in there." Isn't that cute?! I love kids! They make life so much better.
